Being one of the poorest countries in the world, it is a considerable challenge for the government of Mozambique to provide basic service delivery in order for the population to enjoy basic human rights such as health and education. However, some of the most serious violations of human rights in Mozambique are believed to take place within the justice sector, in the police, the legal system and the prisons.
