Technical Assistance to Banco Terra

In 2006 Norfund, GAPI, KfW and Rabobank decided to establish Banco Terra (BT), a commercial bank in Mozambique with a rural focus. To make this rural focus viable within a reasonably acceptable time for private investors, a technical assistance (TA) project was designed whereby Norway, Germany and the Netherlands governments would finance the technical assistance.

Modernization of the Commercial Register in Mozambique

The Ministry of Justice is implementing a project to modernize the commercial register in Mozambique, including the redrafting of the legal framework and computerisation of the registry process. The project is budgeted at NOK 19 million and is expected to be completed in 2009.
