Entrepreneurship Education in Mozambique

31/08/2009 // This project entails the provision of technical Assistance to the Mozambican Ministry of Education to Expand the Entrepreneurship Education Entrepreneurship development for youth).Building from the experience both in Uganda but also from the successful, (although limited) piloting in Cabo Delgado, this support will enable UNIDO to technically assist the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) to gradually introduce the Entrepreneurship Education into the Mozambican formal education system.

The intervention is budgeted at NOK 16 mil for a 4 years-period (2007 to 2010)

Programme objective: To transform the mentality of secondary school students into  entrepreneurial culture in order to develop foundations in massive scale for the private sector development by 

Allowing students to develop positive attitudes towards business, entrepreneurship and self-employment;

Empowering students with analytical skills and entrepreneurial competences to identify, select and make viable use of gainful opportunities within their environment; 

Helping students to identify entrepreneurship as a possible career with abilities to successfully plan, start and manage a business.
